What's a good price?

I saw a 67 small window stepside in front of a body shop. The shop owner bought it to restore himself but has moved on to other projects. Wants $1,500.
6 cyl
3 speed
running
surface rust
floor pans need replacing.
I haven't inspected it myself yet, but will before spending $$. Small window is worth more, right?

Not sure about them being worth more, just some like them better than others, I personally don't like them, but hey thats my opinion.

Re: What's a good price?

I'd probably pay $1500 for it....but that's up here in Ontario where you just don't find trucks like this sittin around. I agree, offer him $1000 and see where it goes.

Thanks guys! Went by yesterday, but the owner was out. Truck needs a lot of work. Windshield cracked, side windows smokey, bed floor is long since trashed. Seems a little high for the condition. We shall see.

Re: What's a good price?

After reading your first post I thought maybe $1,000. After reading your last post I am closer to $700. Of course this is all without pictures, so I could be way off. Pictures help a ton when asking for valuation help.

Re: What's a good price?

This is very Dependant on your location. Up here in oregon you can get pretty good trucks for under 2k. They all have rust somewhere. I have seen some of what guys fix on here. I have thrown away much better cause they have no value around here. Just look around in your area to get a good feel for the prices.
