That 61 is on some serious skinny,I'd be afraid to drive over 20mph.For fear of hitting a pothole or something and cracking or denting the rims. But man they look sweet.

Good ol' 71st street, I miss Tulsa! That bubletop is an overly nice build. He is friends with an old neighbor of mine.

Yep, it's just you. Unless it's an antique, or street rod show (or other genre specific event) the people at the gate or going to accept the entry fee no matter what it is. Cruise-ins are the same way, they're free! If you want to show off (or emberrass yourself) with your showroom new ride, bring it on. That particular challenger is so highly modified, it probably deserves to be displayed with pride MORE then most old cars. People like to go to shows to see cars/trucks that are either unusual, exotic, highly modified, meticuously restored or...just plain different. Cars/trucks don't have to be 30+ years old to fall in to these categories. Just because we own old trucks doesn't make us elitest.

That Challenger rocks!!

Re: couple of car show pics

I agree, I don't like seeing new stock cars at shows but that Challenger has more than enough mods to earn a spot.
That green '69 is way nice! I'd like to have the blue bagged '88-98 for a driver.

Re: couple of car show pics

The red and white trucks rear view mirror is on the windshield, which leads me to believe that it's a 72.

Re: couple of car show pics

68 short step... what year is that light green/white truck pictured above? '69 or '70?

Was it a 350 truck or an inline?

Do you recall if the trim was wood grain or just black? I can't quite tell from the pics.

Sorry to ask so many questions, it's just that it's almost an identical twin to mine. Minus the white below the trim for me, with a little more chrome on the rear of the truck.

i remembered ya this time (since you wanted more shots of it).....
it was a 350/350 combo, it also is a 1969 SWB, and the trim was blk/wood grain....it was a very very clean original truck.....the owner looked to be about mid 60s, so its quite possible its a 1 owner truck, i dint ask tho.... but should someone be instrested i can get his contact info.
