Cost of a new windshield

Could some one give me a guess as to how much a new windshield would cost to be installed in a 70 model GMC
pickup?
Thanks
Tim

Windshield in Indianapolis around $125. At the Carlisle,PA spring meet, $99. without install. Would recommend replacing the gasket as well and if you have a shop do it, get a "no leak" guarantee in writing. Glass shops have a cost of around $50. for the Mexican manufactured glass. Soft Seal has a great reputation on the quality of their ($60.) gasket. Good luck---Huck

I have seen them as low as $67 and as high as $400. One thing for sure is to put a new rubber gasket in. You can use the old one if its in good shape but why not spend the extra dough and relieve yourself of possible leaks. As stated by other make sure you get the no leak in writting.

Had mine replaced in the burb just last week. Cost me $220. plus I bought a new seal from GMC Paul. Only thing is I could only find PPG glass for the old girl. Dad just about kicked me in the behind for that one ( retired LOF person). Sure beats having 2 inches of white around the edges. Everyone have a good one, Tom.

Thanks for all the responses;
I am considering buying a 70 GMC that has a broken window and wasn't sure if this was a costly replacement item and readily available;
I had the windshield in my 94 (ahem, er, uh) Bronco replaced last January for $232.00 and just needed an idea of the expense
Thanks

If you ever get a few hours west of you I know a shop here that quoted me $140 installed including seal.
