67-72 C-50 Wiring Diagram
I've got a C-50 I picked up abandoned. I've got it running and now braking great. PTO dumps awesome. The electrical is a total mess. blinkers, brake lights, headlights work then they don't .... etc. I'm looking for:
1: Any good maintenance books available? It seems like the big bolt trucks get left out. 2: Anybody have a link or an image of C-50 wiring diagrams? 3: Blinkers don't work so I opened the steering column. the turn signal cam was broken but after replacing it still no luck. Steering column either isn't compressed or is missing parts. Anybody have a non tilt steering diagram? Also Do I need a compressor tool for this column? After I reassembled it the horn honks when the turn signal arm grounds against the column. A lot of info here... sorry for the mess |

Re: 67-72 C-50 Wiring Diagram
Here are some links to wiring diagrams on the 67 to 72s they should be the same for the large trucks.
1.http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/ch...ng_diagram.pdf 2.http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/ch...ng_diagram.pdf 3.http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/ch...g_diagram2.pdf 4.http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/ch...ng_diagram.pdf 5.http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/ch...ng_diagram.pdf Here is the location of the post that the links are in,post 104 and they are pdf so they may taake a while to download if you have dialup. The thread is a sticky at the top of the electric forum called "wiring diagrams finished". http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=185856&page=5 Your horn problem is caused by grounding the horn wire that runs up through the column to the top of the column and you may not have the components together correctly. I suspect that poor grounds are the cause of the intermittent tail and brake lights also. If you start a new thread in the electrical forum it will stay on the top page longer and we will be able to help with each problem. V.V.

Re: 67-72 C-50 Wiring Diagram
Thanks for the links!, those diagrams look to be right on. Anyone have a link for a diagram laying out a non-tilt steering column? I've found them for the tilt models but need one for 67-72 non-tilt
