72 Fleetside LWB tool box

the bed side where the box hinges mount the whole thing is rotted out does anyone know where i can get a bedside with the tool box option or does or is there a patch panel? also i need a new fiberglass box, the mountings are all screwed up. I have what i think was a custom ordered truck and im trying to put it back original. Let me know what you think

Factory ordered options were as follows:
Black paint w/ white striping
blue vinyl interior
wood grain molding
cheyenne package
400 SBC
posi rear end
cab lights
long bed
bedside tool box

theres a bunch of other RPO's but this combination seems strikingly strange
any help would be awesome

Re: 72 Fleetside LWB tool box

I parted a 71 that was black with a blue interior and lower woodgrain trim. It was a custom deluxe, not a cheyenne. Looked good in its day. Sounds like a nice truck you have there.
Also, a 400 small block was not available in these trucks. A 400 would actually be a 402 big block.

Re: 72 Fleetside LWB tool box

I know the tool box doors are hard to find and can be pretty spendy. I think that started in 70.
The cab lights you could get on any of them. I have two 1/2 tons here with cab lights and my wifes has the teardrop style roof lights.

lrader99, you have to be a regestered member to post a parts wanted to buy, so no one will be able to offer you the part you are seeking.
The doos used to be avalible in the aftermarket, but no longer. Originals can be VERY expensive, even rusty ones can get quite a bit of coin.
