The Caminokid is whole again!

Well today I got another Camino. I seem to love the 73 to 77 Caminos. I keep ending up with 77's for some reason. I traded my 85 Chevy 4X4 with no motor for it. I got the camino with no motor or trans. The body is 99% solid. found 3 rust spots. It has the original paint on it. The bad...I need to replace the interior and someone cut a hole in the roof for a sunroof. Tailgate chrome is there...not usually on these 73 to 77's.
I am paying in pain for this...when i was pushing the 4X4 out off the garage...something popped in the calf of my left leg. Felt like rubber bands popping. Going to the hospital tomorrow.
Here is some pics of when I went and got it...

well right now 350/350 combo, A friend of mine knows where there is a 76 Laguna S-3 that was rear ended so I am going to get it for parts. If a big block shows up...that will be in there. I still have my M-21 Muncie...if I can find some pedals....that will be going in there. I am looking for a 12 bolt posi...yeah I know good luck on that. I need to find some better rear springs. I want some air shocks. since the Laguna is buckets and console...I will be ripping that all out for the camino. I will get pics of all this as the time comes.

Post some pics if you will! This is the second one I have owned this color combo. The first one was a 76.

I think they are all 15X10's. I really want 2 of them for the back and get 2 15X7's for the front.

Re: The Caminokid is whole again!

It's been a long time since I've seen one of those on the road, but when I got here a couple weeks ago there's a red one in a driveway a couple blocks down from my motel, and a guy drives another to work everyday, 70 miles each way. Pics tomorrow if you want them.

Nice score you made, but what about the hole in the roof?

I bought a 75& a 77 together once, didn't do anything with them but made good money selling the extra NOS trim on feebay.

BTW, dude needs to clean up his yard.

I have to take that sunroof out and weld new metal in.
Going to the hospital when the old lady gets home in a couple of hours
Couldnt stay out of the garage....had to go look at it. The 70's live inside this Camino! The headliner, the floor and the panel behind the seat...house carpet! And it has a electronic musical horn!

Re: The Caminokid is whole again!

I missed that you hurt yourself. Was it behind your knee?...hamstring
Down by ankle?...Achilles
I hop it`s the hamstring. They seem to heal faster.Plus, you can drag your leg (no knee bend) better than walk without an ankle.
Good luck with it.BTW,I dislocated my shoulder...twice.What a pair we`d make.
So,that`s the seller`s house?Is it home yet?

yes sellers house. Got it home in the garage. It was all in the calf area of my leg...towards the inside. What the doc said is from the ultrasound they did is I tore some muscles. Wont know for sure till i got get a cat scan. This is going to be a fun week. I have been told stay in bed. I dont know if I can do that.

I got the Camino in the garage and put it up on jack stands. i have a 76 Laguna S-3 found that was wrecked I am going to get lot of parts off it. When i am feeling up to it...i will go out and get some pics of the Camino in the garage.

There is NO way you can diagnose any kind of tear with an ultrasound. That is used for detecting a DVT (blood clot). A CT scan would be poor quality at best. MRI is the modality of choice for this particular injury. What kind of quack are you seeing?!

I havent made it to the quack yet. This is the quality of the hospitals here. Since i dont know alot about this type of injuries...I didnt know what is supposed to be done.
