stepside bed floor

is there any single sheet metal floor bed replacements for a 68 shortbed and if there is where can i find one thanks

All stepsides had wood floors from the factory. I have seen folks cut up a metal fleetside bed floor or use diamond plate to replace the wood. You'll have to shim it some to keep the body lines correct since the bed floors are different thicknesses.

here are some pics of how i put a steel floor in my stepside. the floor is 3/16" steel plate, and the sq. tubing under it is 3/4" 14 ga. the same thickness the wood was. i welded them to the cross seals and put the plate on top. i also put 1"x1"x3/16" angle iron on the sides to replace the angle that was there from the factory. i filled all the seams with 3m seam sealer and painted..
