Re: Radios that will fit stock dash

If you just want an AM one you might be able to find one but if you want an AM/FM good luck I've been looking for 5 yrs and haven't found one yet and I'm in a different yard about once or twice a week. Even if you find one chaces are it will need rebuilt and that will cost more than you want to spend. You can sometimes find them for sale but you will pay more than $300 for one.
If you don't want to cut the dash for a new one put it in the glove box, way cheaper.

Start looking through tractor junkyards.........I'm serious, 70's/80's era Allis Chalmers tractors had Delco am/fm stereo's that are the same style

Re: Radios that will fit stock dash

take some measurements, and head to junkyard and look for 70's/early 80's cars and trucks. Shouldn't be too hard to get some tunes. Or buy a new 2 knob cheapie, thats what I did.

Re: Radios that will fit stock dash

There was an Alpine unit in the classifieds recently. The guy said it worked and it was a good looking unit.

Go to the classifieds on this board and check it out.....maybe he still has it.

Re: Radios that will fit stock dash

I have bought 2 of these from this guy on ebay, this is his title description " NEW Shaft Style AM FM Stereo Radio Cassette w/ iPOD" I can't figure out how to post a link. Anyway they fit and I can plug an Ipod into it and they sound decent. Nothing fancy but it works

Re: Radios that will fit stock dash

I think there is 4 channels. I put one in a 72 4x4 and my wifes 72 cutlass. I like them because they are cheap. I bought a couple of the Autosound units and I really thought they were overpriced junk. These are nothing special but they are only $50.00
