I have this 91 k5 and its fuel injected. Should i yank the fuel injection off of it somehow to try to install on my 76? would this even work? anything else i should grab before sending to the junkyard

Re: question about my 76

if you grab the motor, fuel system, pump, wiring harness, and ecu... you could make it work fairly easy... the only thing i would be worried about is getting the tranny too.... im not exactly sure when they switched over to the electronic shift trannys but i researched doing the complete oposite... i wanted to gut my 00 jimmy 4.3 and put in an old 350... the only thing that stopped me was the fact that it would be a pita to get the tranny to work right

Re: question about my 76

Electronic trans started in 1993. If the 76 is a 4x4 you can get the whole drivetrain, otherwise you would have to pull the trans down and replace the output shaft and get a tail housing for it to work. Engine should swap fine if you get all the electricals with it.

Re: question about my 76

ooh too much effort for not enough reward. Maybe down the line i will just buy an EFI set up to replace the intake and carb. Carb is functioning perfectly well for me right now though so no hurry.
