Welcome to the board. You've come to the right place. Nice DD. And Good choice on the project. As far as parts go, on sheet metal, I like to use original stuff--nothing else fits as well. Here in Texas there are squarebodies all over. So finding original parts is easy. Check your junkyard and Craigslist, and keep an eye out when driving around.
Also, check with the cap'n. 73-87.com

Welcome to the forum chevycc04. Looks like you have a solid project ahead. Love the DD. I have a black 06 Silverado CC myself.

Welcome from Houston. Nice looking project truck. Just happened to be looking on CL and found this

91 suburban front clip last chance - $250

Looks like most of the parts you need if you like that style front end. And the color even matches.

Yep should bolt up fine...

Do you have the stock core support for your truck? If you are using the one from the suburban, you may want to get the lights and wiring and anything else for the front end he may let you have.

Re: pics of my truck! New to site

I think what he ment is the headlights and grill are different, So if you are going the use the '91 grill and lights you want the '91 wiring.
If you are going to use the '87 grill and lights your fine.

Yes! good to see I am not alone! haha I did take the pics somewhere around sixth street. I may hit you up, I know nothing about these older chevys but have always wanted one! Its going to need some frame work cause its slightly bent up front from the wreck, the truck belong to a older man, truck has 78k original miles on it, gave it to his grandson that just turned 18 and he ran a stop sign and hit someone! But I got the truck for 1400 so I think its a good truck to start on. I am picking up the front end off a 91 suburban next week sometime and go from there little by little. I saw your build came out really nice, looks like alot of work but well worth it in the end!
