Shaved Drip Rails, Any Regrets?
So I am toying with the idea of shaving the drip rails. I have seen a number of people do it and have a good handle on the how to do it part. Fairly good welder so that won't be a problem.
My question is, for those who have done it, do you have any regrets? Any problem with water coming in, leaking past the door seals or anything else. Open to thought, ideas and comments.

I did it, not because I wanted too, but because I had too. It was a ton of work and not that many people notice it at all. If my rails had been in better shape I wouldn't have shaved them.

I want to do it too, the body shop I go to said $500 for the shave and paint what do you think.

I shave mine and I like the look. I have not finished my truck yet and it doesn't rain much in Arizona so I am not worried about leaks. it also depends on how it was done to prevent leaks. I am also planning on adding additional weatherstrip to divert any water.
