Look in your local yellow pages for a place that sells springs and drive line parts. They can probably bend you some while you wait. It's a good Idea to take an old one with you to measure from

Re: rear axle u bolt kit

well the issue we have....is we bought the truck from a junk yard, and someone had already pulled the rear u bolts and u bolt "cap" on top of the rear axle on both sides, so we have nothing to go off of

Re: rear axle u bolt kit

Zach you might have to return the favor and find a set or at least the plates in a wrecking yard. If you hunt a bit you might even find a set of plates that are already off. Wrecking yard parts pickers are famous for taking a torch to the U bolts though.
You should be able to order the U bolts at Napa if there isn't a Spring shop near to where you live.
Or call the outfit that LocDoc suggested and see if they will make them and ship them. 120 Miles one way would be a beer run in some parts of west Texas but I don't know about Iowa.

Re: rear axle u bolt kit

I got my new rear axle u-bolts from Bill Athey, one of our board vendors.
Big Brown truck dropped them off right at my front door.

Re: rear axle u bolt kit

we dont need a reversal kit.....just an OEM replacement for rear axle, we need all 4 U bolts as well as the plate that sits on top of spring pack that threaded ends of U bolts stick through and tighten down on to

Re: rear axle u bolt kit

Edit: the plate sits under axle and U bolts hang down through it then get tightened onto it.
