Re: Lift options for A 67 C20?

The best solution I have found is SKYJACKER. They have lifts from 2, 4, 6, 8 inches and they have three levels. one has an add a leaf with blocks, one is a step up from that and the last level is four new leaf springs and u bolts bushings, etc. It seems like they have a great kit and their softride springs are supposed to ride very nice. Here is a link to a truck that has the lift...

here is a link to their website...

There are others like superlift and cst, but after my research and hearing other people talk, it seems like skyjacker is the way to go. Retail is 1300 for the 8" lift but i have found it for 1050. 4wheelparts seems to have the best prices. You can buy it with or without shocks. And thats all I know.

Thanks 71,

But I could have swarn I was reading here that the 67 has issues with springs from 68-72 kits?

Is that not the case?

Re: Lift options for A 67 C20?

If you want to do an all spring lift and not rear blocks, then yes, there are issues. The front springs will work from the kits, but the '67 springs are unique. The length, width and pin position are all different from the '69-72's. If you want to stay simple you're looking at either doing a shackle flip form ORD or DIY4x, or custom springs. I think the flip is the option most take, it gains about 4" itself, and you can go with longer shackles to get higher, though I don't know what the limit is to that. I did a flip from DIY4x, Kert was easy to work with, and is familiar with the spacers needed to mate the bracket and springs. If you check through some of my older posts, there are pics of the setup. Hopes this helps!

I did an add-a-leaf to my 68 and gained 1.5", that comined with the rear shackle flip would get you close. Or take your rear springs to a spring shop and have them rearched, or another set made.

Funny you mentioned it. I was just found the site and was going to post about the ORD flip kit. I am thinking of the shackle flip and Skyjacker c240s springs up front.

Thanks for the DYI info. It looks like a more sturdy design.
