Re: for you who run a 383 stroker
I would say 750 and buy a jet kit so you jet it for your likings..

Re: for you who run a 383 stroker
I'm currently running a AVS 800 on mine (I had it on the shelf and the 600 that was on it needed a rebuild) and I had to jet it down a bit to make it run right..
If i had a choice I'd run a 700-750...like tvblazer78 said...buy a 750 and a jet kit and tune it...

Edelbrock 1407 (750cfm) here, tuned with a wideband o2. Knocked down 17mpg on my last tank.

Re: for you who run a 383 stroker
ya.. people have told me that if you want a low rpm torque motor to run a 650 but if you want to run 5 or 6 grand to run bigger like a 750 but idk i dont think my motor will last very long after anything over 4500-5000 because im running 11.0 compression ... everythings forged but idk what it can handel

Re: for you who run a 383 stroker
I run an Edelbrock 750 and I'm running jets and metering rods at the richer end of the charts. It came very lean out of the box. It works well though.
Your redline RPM as far the bottom end is concerned is all about rotating assembly and fastener strength.

I run an Edelbrock 1411 (750 cfm) that was jetted down while playing at the local 1/8th mile drag strip.
