Spring hangers

I have a couple questions about the rear spring hangers on my '54 3600. First, how do you remove the "clamp" bolt that is used to keep the big spring pin in place? It looks like it is either a fluted "stud" like a wheel stud or maybe threaded.

Second, where can I find the rear-rear spring hanger that is attached to the frame? We have one that is broken and I can't find it at any of the big parts places. Thanks!

Re: Spring hangers

The pin is hammered out from the thread end. take off the nut and bang on the thread end. As for the hanger see if any of these are what you need.

Looks like those are all for 55 2nd series and up. Maybe they have one for a '54 first series.

Did you double-nut it? Thing's pretty rusty, I don't want to break it.
