Smoothie Wheels
I am looking at the Wheel Vintiques Smoothie wheels. I am thinking of going with a 15x7. I am just concerned if they are going to fit or not.
I have a '67 with a 6-lug rear and '72 front disc setup 5 lug. I'm thinking of ordering two of each lug pattern since the wheels are cheaper than two rotors. Plus the lugs are going to be covered. Is 4" backspacing adequate? Will the wheel fit around the disc brakes up front? Finally, is the center hole big enough on the wheel ( according to the company they are 3 3/4" and 3 7/8" respectively)?

why not go wider in the rear? the 15x7 willl look good in front but they are not going to look good in the rear... IMO.... my setup is the same as yours, 5lug rotors in front and 6lugdrums in the rear.. its hard to find decent wheels...

these should tuck in pretty good in the rear, plus a 295/50 tire would make it look like alot of meat!

15x8 is the way to go...... with 255x60 all the way around is another good option(cheaper), But I love the 50's idea 265 front and 295 rear. Here's few of photos of my old 72 step side with smoothies.

I have 15x7" rallies all the way around. Running BFG Radial TA's.
Front 245/60R15 Rear 275/60R15 I would really like to have 15x8 or 15x10 in the rear with a 295/60R15 tire. Mine look good and I am not changing anytime soon, but a wider tire and rim would fill in the wheel well better and look meaner.

I'm going for something similar to this. This one has 215/65/15 front & 225/70/15 rear. I'm guessing that's a 15x7 up front and a 15x8 in the rear. Is that an accurate guess? I need an overall tire height no greater than 27".
