Brake pedal question?

I am changing from a stick to an auto in the '69 Suburban..

How do you get the brake pedal assembly out?

I took out the column, the two bolts on each side of the column, I unbolted the brake booster from the studs, I do not see any other fasteners...Is it just a really tight fit, or am I missing something? Tommorow I will get a little more forceful with it.

Thanks for any advice?

Re: Brake pedal question?

Found this pic (From Longhornman's post) that shows a bolt way up top, and out of view...that might be my problem?

Re: Brake pedal question?

Yes, that bolt needs to come out but there's no reason to take out the whole mount unless you just really want to clean/paint it. You can just unbolt the lever arm from the clutch linkage and remove the clutch pedal.
