Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: 68, California, ugly but interesting Milk truck

Sorry, can`t see the ugly.I see the ever so popular`68 front clip and a milk truck.I see the best looking milk truck on the road. It`s a StepVan in the rear and a`68 Chevy up front. What I see is a perfect swap meet rig for me.I love anything with a Chevy/GMC face.

This guy loved his egg delivery truck so much he restored it when he retired. Now he hauls brush and whatnot. That`s my kinda Chevy truck lover.

If it had a good paint job the looks would 100% different and better. As it sits I see two trucks. But there is potential to make it something special.

Re: 68, California, ugly but interesting Milk truck

If I were lots younger, I could see a sign on the back, like the old hippy vans; "Don't laugh, your daughter could be in here."

With out the sign, I could drive that. I can see a of uses for it, like mobile repairs, etc.

Interesting that he lists it as a '69 - you wouldn't think someone would just change the front clip on that thing, but maybe they did.

I thought it was odd that it has the 1/2 ton fender badges, looks to be 1 ton chassis (judging by front wheels, I think it has dual rear wheels also, but a little hard to tell in pics).

Re: 68, California, ugly but interesting Milk truck

would be awesome parts chaser, dont think that is original fender, but that is a dual set up unless its a widetrack like a chevy prototype i saw once to eliminate the wheel wells in truck bed. also looks to be 5 or 6 lugs in the front, wasnt the 5 lug like a 1 1/2 ton?

Thats an old Alta Dena Dairy truck, you can still see the logo. They ran them forever, I think they finally stopped delivery a few years back. The one that was used around here was even older, it had a 65 or 66 front end on it.
