1 Wheel Wonders!

My 1970 C-10 w/ a 400sbc, 4.56:1, & 31" tires w/ great tread left me stuck in the rocks last night.

Last night I tried to pull out my 17' boat, but to no avail. I got stuck w/ the boat at the water's edge. Better yet, I unhooked the boat & my 1 Wheel Wonder couldn't even pull itself out.

I had to get my neighbor in his HONDA Passport to pull me out. The Honda didn't spin a tire or break a sweat at any point. Rather embarrasing.

I know not to expect much out of a 2 wheel drive, but this was embarrasing.

Anyone else out there have a similar fun experience?

Nope, can`tsay that I have. That`s gotta suck. But,in all fairness, the difference is in where the vehicles are located.Just a few feet onto better ground makes all the difference in the world.

Re: 1 Wheel Wonders!

my old longhorn sucked in the mud. I got stuck on the slightest of slight incline when the dirt got wet. I wouldn't even call it mud... it was wet dirt.

Re: 1 Wheel Wonders!

bout time for a locker wouldn't you say? then you can make twice the smoke!!! and pull your boat out of the water. Had a 87 monte carlo ls a while back with an open axle, and you could always tell by looking at the 1 bald tire.

Re: 1 Wheel Wonders!

I started to say i have never got any of my truck stuck...I was pulling the Camino thru the yard and there was a pool in the yard at one time and i got stuck where the pool used to be in the soft sand there. But when i unhooked the Camino I backed right out. Then I got out the Dually...and no more problem in the sand. The Camino had two rear flats. So It was hard to pull for the 69...but the dually pulled it like it wasnt even there.

Re: 1 Wheel Wonders!

I had a '69 Chevy 3/4 ton growing up. I was out in the dunes at Pismo Beach (where I definitely shouldn't have been with a 2WD). I stood on it and start up a steep dune on Sand Hwy. I got stuck half way up. Fine, I got pulled out... But I got passed by a mid-80's piece of CRAP Subaru coupe, running on about 2 cylinders!!
