Re: I need a picture of a 62 transmission cross member

there is a picture or illustration on one in the assy manual. I think that it may have been used only with a hydramatic application, which would have only been used in the GMC's and it fits into the x frame
what I don't know is whether or not that they used the p/glide in the chevs from 60-62 and if the did ; did they use a rear trans mount or was it bellhousing mounted? and that will answer that part of that question as if they rear mounted a cast iron p/glide then there would be a similiar crossmember
ron

if one needed a crossmember for there. it would not be difficult to fabricate , but I doubt that you would be able to buy a reay made one

Re: I need a picture of a 62 transmission cross member

well i have a 62 frame sitting in my shop that im fixing to get rid of one way or another. nobody seems to want it. it had a powerglide in it factory so i dont know if it would be the right one, but you can have the crossmember from it if it will help you. lemme know.
