Inner fender mount

Anyone know where I can get the inner fender mount for my 1955 2nd series cab. I need only one of the flat plates with the two studs that go in through the floor and mounts the inner fender from the firewall. I know I can make one just seeing if an original type can be had. Thanks, Ronnie

Re: Inner fender mount

I have searched in several vendor catalogs and internet and can not find this piece. Emailed a few and was told it is not available. Thanks, Ronnie

Re: Inner fender mount

No its the bracket in which that piece bolts to. I guess I will just use two bolts and tack weld them to a flat plate and grind some of the heads off the bolts to make them flatter. Here is a picture of what I am looking for.

Re: Inner fender mount

just reminder any buying or sell in this tread will get it locked. as long as your look for vendors to get it from that is fine. i think your flat plate and grinding the heads off idea will work. if you go to a faster store they will probley have the low profile bolt like those

Re: Inner fender mount

55 must be different?? My studs are just spot welded to the sloped part of the firewall/floor pan. Get some "elevator" bolts, they have very flat, thin and wide heads so they lay almost flat with the floor.

Re: Inner fender mount

I was working on the cab today and looked closer at my mounts, they do have the plate, it is so crudded up and covered with the POR-15 it blended into the firewall. Guess I need to look closer before I make affimative statements....
