WTB - wiper motor mounting sheet metal
My '69 pickup needs new sheet metal, okay a used piece of a cab where the wiper motor mounts. If anyone has a cab that is trashed and usable for such, I'd like to get a 6-inch square piece that includes the wiper mounting. If a wiper motor is attached to it too, that's okay. I have a good motor, just nowhere to mount it.

Okay, here's a pix of the cowl before it was disassembled. Wiper motor is just peeking through the hole that remained after the motor fell out.
Non-automotive RTV is not good in automotive applications....actions courtesy of previous owner. I don't know where you'd want to cut or have to cut. I can see several places that look like they might be good, but I'm no body man and all he asked for was a 6x6 piece.

Re: WTB - wiper motor mounting sheet metal
I'll take a look tomorrow and see where it might be good to cut. Do you need any other firewall pieces?

Don't think so. The rest of the firewall can be fabbed from some 20-ga, if needed. I think some of it can be "trimmed" away and a custom effect applied to clean it up. I have given up on my alternate repair procedure and gone back to plan no. 1A, part 41, para. B (1). I have extensions for the door posts....the left one is toast. Plenums can be fixed. The drip rail on the firewall is the most needful part, but cutting off the pinchweld and doing the fab work will suffice. I may be able to retain my AC unit, but if not.....there's always aftermarket. Mainly, I just need some heat. I can always roll down the windows and enjoy the exhaust notes and listen to some tunes when I park it. I don't need no stinkin' AC!
