Transmission question!!

Okay i know im stepping down here but i have a 700 r4 and im switching down to a th350. Which tailshaft on the th350 will be the same length as my 700? i think the 6 inch is what i need. Thanks in advance!

No, it's an easy swap. The driveshaft and yoke are the same. Linkage and cooler lines will bolt right up.

You're going to have to slide your crossmember, but the holes should already be in the frame to bolt it right in place.

So ill be able to take the existing yoke off of the 700 and put it right into the 350?

Yes. The 9 inch TH350 and the 700R4 are the same length and use the same yoke. No driveline mods needed whatsoever.

Believe it or not, this is a popular swap. Back when 700r4s were the new thing on the block and sucked, I did a lot of 700 removal and TH350 installs. Guys wanted old reliable and none of that expensive overdrive stuff.

Thats exactly my problem. this is my second 700 and im tired of screwing with the thing. it just doesnt shift like it should even with adapter brackets. how is the kickdown cable and all attatched to the carb?
