i recenly purchased a 1975 k10 shortbed stepside and its missing one of the tanks (drivers side)what is the capacity of the tanks or was it an option for that year? i been looking for the other tanks on c.l and bone yards with no luck, kind of looks ugly with a hole in the bed.

Re: gas tank ?

Shortbeds were equipped with 16 gal tanks. They can be had new for about $100 either locally (like Checkers, Auto Zone, etc) or mail order.

Re: gas tank ?

thanks for the answer .maybe it might be easier to just relocate it to the rear with a bigger tank like a 20 or 25 gallon and not deal with filling both sides

Re: gas tank ?

You could go with like a blazer/suburban tank for a larger fuel capacity
