well i got a offer on a truck that i couldnt pass up . its a 1985 chevy c 20 with a 305 and a 4speed with a granny gear . it has some rust issuse but what truck that was used as a work horse doesnt . its got 91,000 on it just needs a water pump to run but for $150 it couldnt be better . its got over $150 in new parts and tires so i think i did pretty good .

Nothing wrong with that. I'd call it a score. '85, is that a tbi engine?

TBI is 87 so its carbed unless not stock.

Good deal on the truck looks nice.

its a carb engine wish it was tbi . I have no clue what i am going to do with it yet . I am thinking about fixing the cab rust taking the bed off and making a nice flat bed . does any one know if a dully frame and a regular c20 truck frame are the same ?

Not sure about the dully frame. The 1/2 and 3/4 frame are the same. One tons are narrower and I think the frame is thicker metal but not positive.

yeah needs some new sheet metal rockers cab corners a floor pan ,two new fenders and a bed and tailgate to make it really nice . got the water pump off tonight the whole reason i got it so cheep becuase someone couldnt figure out why it was throwing the belts off all the time . the fan is bent and so is the water pump pulley and the peice on the water pump the fan and pulley mount to was broken off the shaft . cheep fix to getting it runing and driving again . any one know what rears they stick in these trucks when it is not a 14bolt ff ?

sounds like it has more rust than the pics show. I thought all 3/4 and 1 tons had 14 bolt ff in them,I'd be interested in that answer too!

no some had 14 bolt ff if they where heavy duty and some had a light duty rear . if i can get a hold of a 14 bolt for cheep it might end up in there
