Revolver Shackles
Where can I find revolver shackles for my K10? All I can find are for Jeeps and S10's. Any help appreciated.

I tried it with about 4 different searches. The only Chevy revolver shackles I can find are for S10/BlazerS10. I really want em for my K10.

I hope you never find them. I don't think they're safe since body lean is controlled, in part, by the inability of the springs to twist beyond fixed spring and bushing flex.
May I suggest going with greaseable, extended length, Off Road Design HD shackles?

i don't believe they make them for fullsize trucks, 1 there too top heavy as it is and 2 with the suspension geometry on a full size they bind up to easy

they are shackels that have a joint in the center so the spring can rotate
you can go to www.4wheelparts.com and search for them mainly used on jeeps |

They are shackles that shouldn`t be run on the street or over a slow speed.If you see anyone running them on the street,that`s where the revolver part comes in.Get them before they get us.
Seriously(not that I already wasn`t),these have no place on the street and there`s a good reason tou only see them "listed" for the lighter offroad-use toys....safety.Not that that won`t stop someone from making a buck.That`s were liability comes into play.

i have to agree with special-k, there is no way i would use those shackles on the street or anything heavier than a jeep. i even question the strength of my stock shackles sometimes

they can load or unload unpredictably offroad and cause potential problems (ie rollover). a bunch of threads on pirate4x4 about these.
if you want more flex, swap out the springs you have to longer ones from a newer chevy. or maybe learn to wheel what you already have, and progress from there.

That`s good advise,Adam.Dito,don`t get ahead of yourself.Get your wings and then fly.I`ve enjoyed some crazy fun `wheeling for years before I saw half this stuff guys do now being implimented.I really think we had fun and went alot of places without knowing all they know and do know.it`s deep pocket money these days just to go more places that most likely could ruin your truck in some other way.A trail rig is just that.An on-off road machine is a different beast and comprimise is what it`s all about.
I`ll be building my`71 SWB into an awesome on-off road machine*.One I hope to drive home after a day of wheelin`.And,look outrageous in a mall parking lot. *37s,lockers,double t-case,twin stick,winch...and try not to keep sheetmetal straight.(prolly catch flack from others off road when I won`t put it in a risky spot.I don`t plan on ridin`the big boulders and trees will be kept at a safe distance or I ain`t goin`)It`s a comprimise off road rig,not a mall cruiser.
