pics of sectioning the stock front crossmember

i thought there were pics of this some where on this forum i did a search on this but didnt find anything i am thinking about doing this to pick up about 2'' more drop if anyone has any info or pics it would be a great help!!!!

***i know there is the dropmember and jasons but i just cant fork out the dough!!!!! but i do have a grinder and a welder so i figured i would do it my self!!

I had mentioned this before somewhere else, but Street Trucks mag had a whole set of articles about old school lowering techniques circa'99-2000. They were done by a company called 'Turner Enterprises'. They used to offer kits to do these x-member sections. I think they were 1.5''.

You remember right protrash, they were 1.5". He also sold a prenotched x-member with a core exchange, and stepped lower control arms too.

Yeah, newage. I always remember that article because I'd never seen that info before. I also purchased all my front suspension pieces from them and the tranny x-member. The x-member is the heaviest chunk of metal ever built to hold a tranny.
