60 GMC on 74 Blazer chassis- MC swap

I desire to power up my brakes: I have a 60 GMC sitting on a 74 Blazer, with the usual Blazer front discs/rear drums with a dual chamber unknown make master cylinder (I assume its not a 60-66). I want to find a power assist setup and am wonderfing if I could use something small and cheap ie an S-10 MC or would need to go bigger ie giant brake booster that came stock on the 70s 4x4 trucks. I like the simple and clean look of the little one....but will it have enough to stop my custom 4x4 with 35'' tires?? What's your two bits?

I don't have any experience with swaps onto a 4X4 but I don't see why you would have any problems stopping 35's with a booster off of a full size truck. I have the adapter bracket for those boosters, but they are designed for the '63-'66's

Re: 60 GMC on 74 Blazer chassis- MC swap

Thanks for your reply. I think the big booster will work too (stock 70s truck), I'm just exploring ideas on a smaller one because I know a guy with an S 10 MC on a 57 Chevy coupe...a fairly heavy car. I'd prefer to not have the giant doughnut booster under my hood, if you know what I mean!

Nice bunch of projects, Captainfab. I have plans for a 427 for my truck, currently a 350 w/TH400.
