I like to convert my 1971 from th350 to manual 3 speed transmission. Do you have picture of crossmember and support(installed) that I need to make the conversion . Can I reuse my automatic crossmember to support the rear end of the manual transmission? Thank's, François

No need to convert the crossmember. You can reuse your existing auto trans crossmember and mount under the new standard transmission.

you don't have to add crossmember to support the rear of the engine or bell housing?

Not needed. As a matter of fact, starting in 73, GM went to the rear crossmember only and did away with the bellhousing unit on all trucks.

Just out of curiosity is there an advantage to switching from the bellhousing crossmember to the auto crossmember? I know the auto crossmember bolts on the tailhousing of the tranny so it should cut down on torque to the carrier bearing. Just thought id pose the question.
