my wipers go clickety clack...why??!

everytime i turn my wipers on tthey go clickety clack clickety clack and its very annoying! is it the wiper motor? if so can i use the motor from my 72 gmc? thanks, im PRETTY sure its the wiper motor....or do they all do this loll thanks!

Look under the cowl -- the linkage bushing may need lubricated, or replaced.

It starts out as a clickety-clack and progresses to an even more annoying screeeeee-thump..... screeeee-thump..... Spending some time lubricating the linkage will spare your sanity.

I used marine grease on mine.

dang i had the cowl off awhile back....guess i might as well shave the antena hole while im there....., so grease any joints i can find with marine grease,

bears63, i lost my sanity...ALONNGGGGG time ago lol lol

Mine does the same, I think its the motor. I have greased every rotating joint in there and still click, click, click, click, click,hee hee ehee its driving me crazy,ah ha ha ha ha, who are those guys in the white coats over there, hey who said that....

but just crank up the radio!!!!!

anybody know if a 72 and 68 wiper motors are the same, and will swap out?

LMC shows the 2 speed motors (3 & 4 wire) are compatible......
