I used an old lwb frame to make mine. The only thing that I needed was an extra support for the front and the casters.

Re: need :cab dolly build info, pic's / measurements
sorry no dimensions, I just flipped our cab on its back and used scrap we had, built a rectangle and used flat bar for the mounts, bolted them to the cab and tacked them to the uprights on the frame I built....kinda just figured it out as I went
these are all from our build thread........http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=292466 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...&postcount=299 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...&postcount=300 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...&postcount=301 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...&postcount=302

Re: need :cab dolly build info, pic's / measurements
Can you really just lay the cab on its back? I'm not trying to be a smarta$$ or anything to take the measurements taking care for the top lip?
If so thats what I'll do. Just lay it on the ground and make sure not to smack the top and just go bolt and weld happy with some scrap. Heck 2x4's could probably do the same, but not as light and strong I'm sure. Last edited by kizer; 05-05-2009 at 06:39 PM. |

Re: need :cab dolly build info, pic's / measurements
I did lay it over a couple times, the hard part is getting it back up right
don't let it flop down and it should be good...
