Any comments on this look? It's just a quick and dirty Pshop of a gauge and bezel over my existing smoothed dash. I'm trying to get my dash gameplan in order...

it is too plain and why not stay with stock with just some new style gauges in the orig. spots. just my .02 cents worth. and where are you gonna run the ac vents? regards , DAN

I've been buried with a zillion non-truck projects lately. I'm actually hoping to make some progress very soon. Pic updates if/when that happens.

Too late for stock. The dash is completely smoothed over as in the pic, except for the gauge array. Just trying to figure out that part now. AC vents? Why, they're on the doors (2x60)

no offense intended to anyone out there but with all that work and a sweet dash like you have, you can't run a stock looking cluster. I like your first one or possibly the oval unit similar to it.

I like the first one but it sure looks lonely with with all that solid metal to the right. How bout a TV monitor in the center of the dash? Nitor, that cluster looks like the inside housing is reversed and installed on the front. It looks bad in my opinion.

Those all look great. I'd run a nice chrome trim piece about 3" from the gauges to about 3" from the passenger edge (centered with the gauges of course). That would break up the south 40 you have on there now.

I say you take the gauges you posted in your last post (XXL) and simply cut holes for them to sit in. I wouldn't use the shape of the original bezel around them.

Are you flaming your truck or anything? Because that "blank" area to the right of the gauges would look sweet with a little extra paint brought into the inside of the truck...things like flames or something. You went through a lot of work to make it clean, so I would do two gauges and keep it that way...I'm rambling...

I guess it really depends on the color to me. If you are going to have a dark dash eventually, I think it would look great the way you have it. But if you have a light colored dash as in your pic, you need some more stuff on the other side to balance it out, the guages would look way too plain all by themselves on one side. JMO

Show a pic with the factory gauges in the smooth dash without the bezel, keep them in the same locations, just set into the dash.

A idea, how about a stock layout with a/market gauges and some air brushed trim or details etc. Ken, I love the smooth look!!!!!

That's what I would do, just put the gauges in about the stock location, but just set into the dash. Your first pic isn't badm just looks kind of small though.

If anything, I would suggest not going digital.. Know lots of guys who have had real, real bad times with digital gauges.
