another rally wheel question

Sorry if you all are getting tired of these questions. I found a set of rallys I like but the guy selling them is insisting they are 4.75 pattern. Did the 1979 trucks use 4.75 wheel?

This is the listing if you don't mind checking it out
http://york.craigslist.org/pts/1155251863.html.

They are about an hour away and I would rather not waste a trip. Thanks for your help

Re: another rally wheel question

If they came off a fullsize truck (picture shows a truck rally) they are 5x5, no fullsize ever came with anything else.

Re: another rally wheel question

he is measuring the bolt pattern wrong, he is going from center to center of lug opening, it should be center of lug opening to center between two adjacent lug openings

Re: another rally wheel question

I've seen people say in their ad that the wheels are 8 lug or 10 lug when
they are dual bolt pattern 4 and 5 lug.
It's sad really, I wonder how some people can even dress themselves.

Re: another rally wheel question

the only thing i'd say is they look like van wheels as they appear to be 7" wide. truck wheels are 8" wide. they'll fit and way worth $50 but are a little narrower. 88-98 truck ralleys also 7" wide

Re: another rally wheel question

Some of the 88-98 rally wheels are 8" wide, they just have a different offset.

Re: another rally wheel question

Van rallys are 6.5in wide with a 4in b/s, 7in truck rallys are 3 5/8 b/s...Great score no matter what they are.

Re: another rally wheel question

Thanks for the help, I just got back with the wheels. Nothing in the ad was right they are 5x5 6.5 van rallys but I am still happy 4 rims, trim rings, and caps for $50. I am probably going to keep looking for two 15x8 for the rear and paint the wheels black. I have a thing for black and chrome. I just wish I had a friend with a field full of parts! Around here parts are usually overpriced or completely rusted

Re: another rally wheel question

Congrats on the find. I found my set for $90 with rings, and caps. It took a while, and many trips looking at overpriced wheels to find these. A little paint, and they are ready to go. I hope to get tires on them tomorrow.
