OH CRAP!...handles....

does any one have pictures or reccomendations on where and how to mount or make them?
i would like to see our input..
im thinking on my "A"pillar with some aftermarket ones.. or making some outta scrap steel stock layin around and weld them in place... but not tooo sure..
(dont want to screw into or weld onto a pillar..)

whaddya all think?

i ve got some mounted to the top of the cab above the door. jus used the late 80s model upper door panel handles ,used self tapping screws and snapped the covers over them and they lok factory to me and everyone else. as for sturdyness they will lift all240 of me in for the last 4 years with no problems

Chicken bars is what we called them.I had one mounted to the steel dash on my`69 Power Wagon with spongey pipe insulation covering it.
How will you secure it w/o screws or welding?I have some outside grab handles from a medium duty I want to use on the A-pillar.

oh no i will screw or weld..
i just did no want to do it to the a pillar (im not a body guy.. dont know if it's blow a hole in it..)
