Progress or mistake???
Several weeks ago I pulled the entire front clip off my 72 swb. Yesterday, some buddies came over and we lifted the bed off. Only thing left is the cab. I'm planning on getting it off this weekend. Then, I can get the frame into the garage for a thorough cleaning, detailing and suspension rebuild. I hope I can get it all back together one day.

Sure you will get it back together - and I bet if you run into any snags there will be plenty of help from here.

just make sure you come to this board on a regular basis so you don't loose intrest in your truck.....lost interest has been the cause of death of alot of trucks and cars over the years.

yeap, thats why i hate to see a truck come apart that doesnt really need restoratio that is in good original shape, big risk of it never going back together,, just look at Britney for one,,. i took one apart that i wanted ot put disk brakes on and find cab for but i never did, eded up cutting it up and selling it out, dunno why, wish i hadnt now, if it was a 71 or 72 and had better cab then i wopuld have just stuck 68 nose on it and been done as lopng as didnt have large holes in body anywhere.
good luck. ------------------ Randy- Lincoln, IL randy@ccaonline.com 2177353230 *many GM parts bought, traded, or sold -am parting out: '81 Cutlass Supreme and 84 SE Firebird T5 3.73 current fleet: -71 C-10 350/CH465/3.07- assembling currently -90 Cavalier/2.2/sky blue, driver #2 -84 Z28 5.0L/700R4/3.73 daily driver #1 -'90 Corsica 3.1L and '82 purple Trans Am- storing *Paint is overrated* © RSS Enterprises 2000 |
