air ride set help
I purchased the dominator 2600 bags that were being offered on the site here and dont know what else I need to purchase. Heres my idea of what I want
* these will be installed in my 67 long bed in the rear only. (coil springs origionally) * I did purchase the mount plates * I know I need a compressor but how do I know which one to buy? * I want to do quick fills so I guess Ill need a small tank too? * Im not interested in the self leveling but I want to control the air intake and release from the cab (and I want a guage) what do I need? single or duals? * I also want both bags equal at all times so do I just run a "t" fitting? *What am I not thinking of Thanks guys Mike

Re: air ride set help
You need to run 4 valves total. 2 fills and 2 dumps. You need to keep the 2 rear bags on separate lines. This way the air will not transfer from side to side when you go around corners. One "dual needle" guage should monitor both bags.
Bigger compressor and bigger tank equals quicker lift times. Buy the biggest you can afford.

Re: air ride set help
If you are just baggn the back you shouldn't have to have seperate valves. The front suspension will stop the bodyroll. You can just put a T between them and when you air them up they will be the same pressure. If you bag the front you will need to seperate the bags but not on the back. I do agree with the bigger the tank and air lines the faster it will respond. I would go with 3/8" air lines b/c the 1/4" are slow and the 1/2" are so fast they are hard to control. I have put all 3 on trucks and the 3/8" is definately the way to go.

Re: air ride set help
you also don't need mounting brackets ... drill a couple holes and bolt it up where the coil spring once sat.

Re: air ride set help
ok so thats the 3rd time I heard I could use t fitting so that sounds good to me, I was wondering why I needed the brackets if I was getting rid of the springs.
The bags have 1/2" ports in the bag. are there reducers available to run 3/8" lines? for tanks, How many ports do I need if Im just running the rears with a t fitting? Im figuring 1 inlet port, 1 pressure switch, 1 guage and 2 air lines or 1 air line? Or do I hook up the guage to the valves? sorry but Im a newbie with the aride system

Re: air ride set help
I built my own tanks, and I've installed ports for what you've mentioned as well as a port for a pop off valve, and a port that will run to a female quick connector in the cab so I can run a hose to fill tires and operate small air tools.
