FS swap question
have two burbs....one is a 94 2500 4wd that I just love but kind of hate the front suspension on it and would prefer a more simple setup. I have a 1991 2500 4wd burb that has a nice independant setup....can I swap? If so, would it be legal?

Re: FS swap question
guys do the solid axle swap but i'm sure it's not easy. Is your transfer case a driver or pass side drop? Most switched to driver with IFS I thought and were pass side with solid axles.

Re: FS swap question
Nothing illegal about it, just be sure and do it right the first time.
Mikes correct about the drop but you can use a furd drivers drop t-case to get it done no prob. |

Re: FS swap question
thanks for your help guys....but I've decided to pull the engine, tranny, A/C system, hydroboost, and braking system from the 94 and put some of it into the 1991. I'm having door problems and rear end issues now on the 94. Anti-lock brakes just went out and the transfer case needs to be replaced. The 91 has a rebuilt 3/4 rear end with a 4 inch lift and 1Ton springs. Has a nice Dana solid axle setup in the front as well. Also has a 97 vortec 454 with under 70,000 miles. I'm hoping to find a way to make that work...if not I'll use the 94 TBI 454 engine. It also comes with a brand new flowmaster exhaust and cat setup. Not to mention new 35 BF's on the 16.5 rims. Man... I don't know what I was thinking to not use this instead. Just one drawback....the rear seat doesn't have a drop for the legs. Oh well.....if the A/C is cold....the kids won't ***** too much.
