powercoated headers

Who has done this? I thought maybe Mudder67did? just curious on durability, hows it hold up?

Exhaust gets much hotter than the powdercoating ovens, especially at the headers. I don't think it would last long at all. I just painted mine with 1400 degree exhaust paint ($5 at Wal Mart) and so far it has held up very nicely. You can get new ceramic coated Dynomax jobbies for under $300 . . .

They use a a different kind of powder for headers and it holds up to temps very well. The will scratch easy and scuff.
