New Tranny is in!

Well, after about 10 hours of work yesterday, the TH350 is in. Makes a big difference, especially when I don't have to powerbrake my truck in reverse to get it out of the driveway in the morning!

Thanks to Matthew (Matt67350) for all your help and for the tranny! The generosity and helpfulness of those on this board keeps rolling!! I wouldn't have been able to do it by myself. Hopefully I'm getting closer to that point though.

This is what had to be changed because of the change from TH400 to TH350. However, some of the parts were supplied by Matthew.

Driveshaft and yoke
Shift linkage
Detent cable, bracket, and carb linkage
Speedo cable
Crossmember moved forward
Tranny cooling lines adjusted

Awesome Scott...hope you like the 350!

Changing out a trans sounds pretty easy, but once you get down to it it can be kind of a PITA sometimes.

Once again, congrats!

Scott,

nice to hear it all went smoothly and for not much money. The money part is the best thing about it, right?

What would we all do without each other on here? The people on these message boards are nothing short of great.

Very nice of you Matthew. Makes you feel good to help someone out don't it?

Scott. Did parts fly off when you hit 100mph?

Ha! 100mph! Not sure my truck can get up that fast.

Nope, everything's running fine. It's nice to actually back out of the driveway with no problem and not worry about slipping from 1st to 2nd. Thanks again! Now, we need to talk about that engine.
