Ain't that a bi*%h
I had a phone call from a girl today asking me out to lunch
Allright! I drove the '62 and everything was cool until I stopped at a red light. Clutch felt "mushy". Uh-oh. We made it a couple more lights and something was definitely wrong. Pulled into a parking lot and checked her out. Brake fluid squirting from the boot on the clutch slave cylinder, truck won't go into gear. Had to call a tow truck, wait 45 minutes for him to show up. $50.00 which was the money for my lunch date. Made burgers on the grill instead and drove her home in the Silverado. Oh well.....

Just put it in first gear and start it. Might be hard on the starter but it will get you goin. just hope all the lights are green or you get to start it in gear again.

Re: Ain't that a bi*%h
I thought about that, But the brake master cylinder and clutch are one.
Meaning, if the clutch is leaking, then eventually I'd have no brakes. Maybe I'm out in left field, but it was a chance I was not willing to take. Plus if the clutch line has a hole then it's been sucking air into the brake system. Either way, rather a $50 tow bill than an unknown collision bill
