What do I have???

Ok guys here's the issue my tranny is shot and I have another one sitting in my shop, but I need help identifying what it is and how hard the swap will be. The tranny I have seems to have P-R-N-D-3-2-1, it has the same bolt pattern as the th350 so it should bolt up just fine. It has a long tailshaft about 3.5" long from the back of the tranny, and has 27 splines. It seems to be about 2" longer than the th350 though. The pan is pretty much completely square. Oh yeah and on the side it says MD 8.Will the column shift still work with the extra gear? How about the tailshaft? I'm at my shop now on my phone and I would really appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks in advance.
