Blazer top value
I have a friend with a nice blazer top. He believes it is a double wall, off a 1970 4x4. Supposed to be in great shape with very nice rear hatch.
Any ball park price ranges? Top located in Oregon. He asked for my help to find value and any interest.

Re: Blazer top value
I don`t see them sold much.Mostly guys wanting to switch to single wall. Not to say it isn`t a needed part by someone. They can crack, people cut-in sunroofs, accidents,The k/5 and top can become separated, etc.
I`d say they`re worth $200 to $300+ depending on condition. It`s the top w/o hatch, right?A good hatch is worth $300...more good tops than hatches.

Re: Blazer top value
I got luckly recently and sold one for $100 with a so-so hatch.. It seems that everyone is looking for the single wall top..
I agree with Special-K that if the hatch is nice.. It will bring $200 - $400 by itself... I have cut up and tossed more tops that I care to admit.. In fact I have two right now that are free for the taking.. (they do need some work) |

Re: Blazer top value
Top is with very nice hatch as mentioned above. I'm sure this is not your neighbors $300 top! Maybe a single wall, I have never looked at it.
I have forwarded previous contact info. so far, haven't heard if it sold yet.

Re: Blazer top value
Hello all. I am pretty new here, but I own a '71 4x4 K5 Blazer which I bought with a Best Tops on it, and I am looking for a hard top for the winter. I went to look at one locally here in Southern Oregon. It was not too bad as far as I know. Had been dropped and chipped in the back corner (can that be repaired?). Hatch was pretty good I guess. He was asking $750.00. I think it was a double wall. Is that too much? What should I look for? Just hope for some help. Thanks for your reply's, Monty

Re: Blazer top value
This is pretty crazy. Cutting tops up and throwing them away? I have heard of trucks not coming from the factory with hard tops in Cali. and Az. but I guess thats another difference between the mid west and west coast. I just recently found that my double wall will no longer fit my K5 and was thinking about selling it. Thought the doubles were more in demand than the singles. Back in the day I traded a single wall top without side glass for some work I neede done on my house...Hurts to think I may have to sell this double wall now.....

Re: Blazer top value
well anywhere from $300.00 to $600.00 is what I have seen over the years depending on how nice it is.. I do know prices have fallen with the economy though so keep that in mind...

Re: Blazer top value
I know its a different part of the country, but here in Texas a double wall is pretty easy to come by and doesn't bring that much money (without a hatch). Here's how I see it in my part of the country...
Usable double wall, in need of a little work, no hatch = $200 Really nice double wall, needs nothing, no hatch = $400 Single wall of any kind, no hatch = CANT FIND ONE! Usable hatch, needs some repair = $300 NICE hatch, needs nothing = NAME YOUR PRICE! If you come across a top with a hatch, just add the above numbers together.
