67-72 with boat/towing something pics?

Anyone got any pics of a 67-72 pulling one of those old wood speedboats or an antique camper? I am trying to think of another project for restoration to use with my "new" old truck.

I don't have any pics but this site may get some creative juices flowing if you like the outdoors.

as soon as my 66 is ready it will be towing either a 72 glastron carlson cv-16 or a 1973 starcraft tent trailer.

Re: 67-72 with boat/towing something pics?

well if it's any consolation I hauled my first load today with my truck....fist laod was a bunch of brush cut from a pine then went to the nursery and picked up a full load of bark mulch the air ride sucked it up and drove like a champ...tomorrow Blue stone (heavey) for some driveway repairs

Re: 67-72 with boat/towing something pics?

yeah i have some better pics of just the truck and boat.
but the boat is a 66 stevens wood and glass construction. (with barell back)
right now both the truck and boat are having some work done.
an all wood boat is a maintanence nightmare from what ive heard.
i dont think you could get any more attention if you were driving a lamborghini with your hair on fire.

Re: 67-72 with boat/towing something pics?

my dad had a 72 suburban back in the 80's and we pulled our 71 holiday 23 footer with it. we still have the camper and i just picked up a 72 suburban 3/4 ton 2wd. guess i will have to get some old pics scanned in and also of my "new" rig once i get a class 3 hitch on it and start hauling the camper. it came with a flat bar class 2 hitch that won't haul much more than a tow dolly and a car.

i have a plug in flat 4 harness from lmc and also a 4 to 7 harness adapter that was going on my buick. brake controller will likely come from my dad's 87 suburban and came off the '84 he had before it. also have the flip out stainless towing mirrors from the 84 that will replace the pitted and pathetic sized sport mirrors that came on my truck. i also have the yankee chrome teardrop roof lamps from my dad's 72 burb that will some day go on mine and really tie it in with the trailer lighting.

Re: 67-72 with boat/towing something pics?

My brother has a old century raven with twin v-8's that he wants to sale. It needs some serious restoring and is a rare boat. They didn't make many of the twins v8 boats. Google them and look at the pictures. Ther'ye beutiful boats. I dont know how much he wants for it but I know he wants it sold. He dont have time to mess with it.

Why, why, UltraBlue would you post a link to such good lookin' machines?! Now you have me pining for one.

By the way, here's a couple that seem almost reasonable. Trailer's included on both of them. One's powered by a F**d engine and the other a Chevy. Hmm, I wonder which will meet with greater approval from the members here?
