Has anyone ever bought one of these replacement center consoles and if so, what was the overall quality of it? Pics would be great. I am thinking of putting a Tuffy console in, but I am leaving all options open and realize that the LMC console would not be used for security purposes like the Tuffy, but I am curious if it has the tendency to crack like the original factory center consoles can do.

Re: LMC Center Consoles... Any good?
I bought one but haven't installed it yet. Not on the interior part of the project yet.
From what I can tell, it is a fairly good copy of the original but having cup holders instead of the seatbelt buckle holders. The plastic is of a more flexible type, not quite as hard as the stock ones. Maybe a little more like a bed liner but not quite as flexable. I know they mention that you can not paint this unit and I would have to agree. This type of plastic would not hold paint well so the big question is, can you live with black? For me black was fine. Sorry no pics of it.

Yes, black is what I want and the cupholders I would prefer over the seat belt holders. Maybe with it being more flexible, it might be less prone to cracking.

Re: LMC Center Consoles... Any good?
I`m sure it can crack, too. For the money w/shipping I`d look for a used console.I sold a`90s one for $60.Can`t beat factory quality.I assume they are made from a simular/same material as the pre-92 Blazer/Jimmy/Suburban consoles which is a plastic rather than fiberglass as the originals were made from.Fiberglass is repairable, plastic you through out.
I`m sure the LMC console would do the trick.Just saying,if it isn`t original why not look for factory alternative, like putting rallyes or S10 seatbelts. It looks right, even is not original,it`s GM.But,that`s just me.
