Re: Super Bad A$$!!!!
The guy i bought it from used it to tow his racecar form 1974-98. it has a 1 ton rear in it along with a 4 speed trans from the same 1 ton truck. its an original longbed custom. as for the crazy paint, he didnt tell me and i didnt ask...

Re: Super Bad A$$!!!!
I think you should leave the seats in when you transfer the cab.

Re: Super Bad A$$!!!!
Looks like a cool project. I kinda like the gauges sitting where they are in the donor truck.

Re: Super Bad A$$!!!!
yeah, i kinda like the way those guages are mounted too. if i can get'em to work i'll clean them up and use the. it a shame the dash in the "new" truck is all jacked up with holes and cuts. i guess thats one of the pluses to having an all steel dash- easy fixes. i might just cut my 66's dash out to replace the butchered one in the new cab. my daily driver's dash in pics 2 and 3

Re: Super Bad A$$!!!!
That donor truck is interesting looking to say the least.
Gaining the big back window is a plus. Too bad the dash is butchered. If you're planning on installing a new windshield, it wouldn't be that much more work to switch the dashes. Might be easier than trying to fix the one in the donor cab.

Re: Super Bad A$$!!!!
yeah, i'd rather swap dashes than cut mine up to fix the other. my dash has no non-original holes other than the two scew holes where i mounted the cd player underneath. i'm swapping cabs not just for the big back glass but also because its in overall better shape. you can see in the pics of my truck that the corners are pretty bashed up and the rockers were made with light guage steel rolled over re-bar. the new cab is almost perfect outside and the hole truck cost me $50

Re: Super Bad A$$!!!!
I'm with captainfab. It would be easier to pull your old dash and drop it in the donor even if you weren't planning on pulling the windshield of the donor cab. If you put your old windshield back in at least you'll have new weather stripping. I always had a leak where the stripping separated at the joint. And a big back window to boot. That's a score regardless of the paint color.

Re: Super Bad A$$!!!!
Oh! The carnage!!! WHY?!?!?! Dont worry guys, i saved all of the good parts before destroying the front-end. unfortunately the only parts worth saving were the cowls.
