New guy in South Dakota

Hello all,

Kevin here, 24 years old, I am one year out of college as a Manufacturing Engineer, I work building Radiators, Oil coolers, and Charge air coolers mostly for off highway construction equipment.

I recently bought this truck after being very frustrated with the beat and battered $2500 '90s Chevy trucks I was looking at. 1964 big back window, custom cab, 230 3 on the floor (Hurst shifter). I got it for $1200 and drove it home.

My plans are lowering and slowly fixing it up as I have a one stall apartment complex garage and two motorcycles. I have no desire to modernize this truck so it will likely keep 4 wheel drums, straight six and AM only radio.

Look forward to hanging out and learning, I have already been lurking for a while

I am putting original issue plates on it, I want this thing to be like a time warp.

To the board.

Looks like you got a truck that's in nice shape. Looks to me like it's already been lowered a little?

Yeah, right now it has the five inch drop springs in the back and stock sagged springs in front. I need to take the front end apart this weekend for new springs/shocks.
