If I recall right the 60-61 had the eyebrow, or "snorkel hood.
62-66 had the low profile hood

All hoods from '60-'66 from Chevy or GMC are interchangeable on all '60-'66 Chevy or GMC trucks. If you get the hinges with the hood, it's just a bolt in affair. You may have to adjust the hood latch from hood to hood, but it's very simple. I put a '61 hood on my '63.

yeah, the 62-66 hoods are all the same on the Chevys..not sure about the GMC...
if you want the early style hood it is a 60-61 only....

GMC is the same.

60-61 hoods have the eyebrow lines

62 is first year of the flat nose with CLEAR turn signals

63-66 has flat nose with AMBER turn signals

Cort, when I got my 63 GMC it had old clear lens.

If I recall correctly a federal law was passed in 63 requiring the turn signals to be amber, maybe yours was built before it was mandated(?)

Mine has the amber Glass inclosure, and the clear lens....

WARNING WILL ROBINSON WARNING

The correct year break models were 60-61 in 1962 both Chevy and GMC changed to the flat style hood to save some money. The Upper hood latch on the 60-61 hoods for both Chevy and GMC were different and will not line up with the 62-66 Lower hood latch. You need to match the latches. I believe the bolt hole spatteren are the same so you will not have any of those issues.

The hoods overall will match but the latching are unique. It's getting near impossible to find the upper hood latches for these trucks.

Good to know Jake! I was just about to buy a 62-66 hood because I can't find an early one. Now I know to hold off.....

4D- Like stated above, you might have a rare truck that was manufactured before the federal requirement that year...

My '61 hood latches just fine on my '63 truck. I had no problems with the latch. It was literally a bolt in affair.
