Headers
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE,
I AM NEW HERE AND HAVE A QUESTION??? I AM WORKING ON A 67 CHEVY STEPSIDE WITH BEEFED UP 400 SB AND A TURBO 350 TRANNY. I HAVE ALSO INSTALLED A FORD 9 INCH POSITIVE TRACK REAR END WITH DISC BRAKES ALL AROUND. THE TRUCK HAS BEEN LOWERED AS WELL. I WOULD LIKE OPINIONS ON HEADERS TO INSTALL THAT WOULD BE INEXPENSIVE AND FUNCTIONAL. I HAVE JUST DONE ALOT OF MODS AND MONEY IS TIGHT. I FEEL THE HEADERS WOULD GREATLY HELP THE PERFORMANCE SINCE RIGHT NOW THERE ARE 350 VORTEX MANIFOLDS ON IT WHICH I BELIEVE HAVE SMALLER PORTS THAN ARE NEEDED(1-5/8). YOUR IDEAS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!: |

Re: Headers
Look, Doug Thorley's are great, Hooker's are great (?!), but if you're on a budget, log on to good old SUMMIT RACING and get a set of their $89 headers. I've been running a pair for 5 years with 0 problems. They're basically Heddman headers with Summit logo on the box... oh yeah, and about $75 knocked off the price!

Re: Headers
Big Al your truck is best, whatever you buy make sure they don't hang to low since your truck is lowered. I have hedmens but they hang a little low. P.S. get ceramic coated.

FWIW, Summit puts a lot of "branded" stuff in their "plain white boxes", not just headers.
