50 1 1/2 ton toruck -> pickup

What parts from a 1 1/2 ton truck will swap to a pickup? What motor usually came in the 1 1/2 ton trucks and is there a market for parts from them? I am looking at picking one up as a possible hauler, but may consider parting it if that turns out to be more lucrative.

Re: 50 1 1/2 ton toruck -> pickup

I think the only think in common is the cab and dash. Frame and mechanicals are different (engine may be the same in some cases). Front clip (fenders, hood, radiator support, etc.) is diffferent. The front fenders are wider so if you want to swap in a wider front clip or use a newer running gear with alcoa wheels you don't have the same issues as with the narrow track width on the 1/2 tons.
