Re: Replacing the hump!

Are you wanting to convert it from a high hump to a low hump? Or are you just wanting to replace a damaged high hump?

Re: Replacing the hump!

to replace a high hump. It kinda looks like the low humps are part of the floor?? might have to do some custom stuff to lower it??

Re: Replacing the hump!

So correct me if i am wrong, the high hump is for a standard and can be removed. The low is for an auto and can not be removed (part of the Floor)?? If so has anyone modified a high hump to lower and give you a better look.

Re: Replacing the hump!

Vance, what some guys do is take a section from a low hump cab and weld it in to get the low hump. Yes high hump is bolted in and can be removed, low humps were made from factory in one floor section

Re: Replacing the hump!

So you have a 4 speed floor shift, and you want to go to a auto trans/ or a column shift? These trucks did come with a high hump and an automatic( granted they were BB ). So why don't you go to the parts board and buy a high hump without the hole for a shift/4x4. Either that or just weld up the hole in your hump. It would be alot easier than trying to turn you truck into a low hump cab.

Re: Replacing the hump!

Undamaged High humps can be pricey. They were definitley less common.

Re: Replacing the hump!

Also I have seen guys take a bolt in hump and set it over a non bolt in hump then cut it out and just make it bolt in with the right cuts and holes drilled. I think there was a write up on it posted not long ago
